We all have a story to tell.

"Crowned by Faith" signifies being honored or rewarded for unwavering belief and commitment, and for maintaining one's faith through trials and tribulations while doing our best to accomplish a life well lived. 

A life well lived is something most people hope for. A life with purpose and happiness. A life where personal goals are accomplished and achieved. A life where meaningful contributions are made within the family, community and to the world. A life filled with values, aspirations and meaningful connections. A life that leads to a positive legacy. 

There are times when "life" has a way of interrupting our plans and delivers unforeseen curve balls, obstacles, roadblocks, and setbacks. So what do we do? We get to know God and His word. We know that we are not alone. Know that sharing our voices, testimonies and stories can help others know they too can beat, crush, defeat and overcome that which causes us to question, fear, stress, lose hope, lose focus, lose our faith. We may fall down, but we can get up. With God by our side we have the hope and belief that He is our protector, ally, healer, defender, strength, peace and joy.

My name is Faith Harper. I am a Montgomery County, Maryland native, and the second oldest of four children. I am one of several authors who tell their stories in the anthology Rising Through the Pain...Prayers and Devotionals for Joy Restoration.
